Damaging the silos? No. They've been decommissioned for years. Ever since Agbags hit the scene, traditional silos don't get used much anymore, at least not in my area.
Of the 18 farms/properties I shoot on, only 11 have silos (22 of them) and only one is still in use. The farmers I've talked with leave them up because it's too costly to tear them down.
