Starling hunt becomes hawk food

I have been doing my part of starling reduction this morning. The S-510 is so quiet even the starlings didn't fly off, they just kept coming back. After they finally left a hawk showed up in the apple tree. The hawk picked up one of the starlings and had a warm meal. It was great to watch. Hopefully I can provide some more meals for it.

Well I tried to upload some pictures but photobucket is such an ad heavy site that my computer wont keep up. Too bad we are forced to use such a crappy ad inundated site.

I'd love to see them if you can find a suitable host, badammo. And I agree with you on photobucket being a pain. Lately I've only been able to add photos to my album by ignoring the blue "Upload" selection and instead first clicking on the "Library" selection instead. I'm using Safari on an iPad and my album is displayed as a grid with the upper left block in that grid being an upload photo block. If I click on that, I'm able to add photos to my album with only some minor delays as the uploads hang up slightly as they complete. Hopefully, this will work for you if you care to continue using photobucket.

Two hawks would always show up at a dairy I shot at. One time they were in a tree with more than 30 doves. My friend Chuck and I were shooting FX500's turned on low power. Doves were falling out of this tree when we shot them but the two hawks just sat still untill we drove off. Then they dropped to the ground and had a feast. From then on those two showed up like clockwork when they saw a white pick up crusing around the dairy. Merry Christmas to all. Scott
