Starling decoy

In the sticks where I live, the outlaws do that to the deer decoys the wardens use.

I shot a lot of starlings. Looks real enough to me!

Sorry for the mix up, it is a real starling. I just messed up with posting all the pictures. In the earlier post it shows the wire armature that holds the carcass up.

I got a couple more, and they are now decoys too. Best part is they would stay pretty fresh in the lettuce crisper!

Be interesting in seeing if they work. Starlings are pretty sharp. But it may work. Best of luck hope it does.

This works really well for me. I save apples from my tree in my basement during the winter. Starling go crazy for the ones left on the tree in the winter. Once they get them all I string the ones I save on para cord with a stick for them to perch on. Works great. They’re so busy working on the apples, they don’t notice when I slide the door open.

That’s a great idea!!! Looks fantastic! When I see starlings feeding around here they are on the ground pecking around usually on dead grassy areas. Not sure what they eating?
