Stacking multiple filters?

Hi everyone. I'm a newbie who has been reading and watching vids and in the process found things are more complicated than they were when I was a 12 year old shooter. So my question is, is it a good idea to use multiple air filters at the same time on my hand pump? Or a compressor, if I order one? I got a generic cheapo hand pump with no filter so I dropped a hundred bucks on one that's about a foot long and ... after seeing someone say he uses THREE filters with the last one to the rifle being a cloth filter, got two more smaller ones to stack one on the other on the other.

Anything dangerous there? Foolish? Any feedback would be appreciated.

I wouldn't try to use more than that FOOTLONG you had just bought unless you want to spend More than your first half hour just pumping all the inline filters even before your gun starts to get filled.

Good news for you great excercise...

You will see... Report back after you pumped through that FOOTLONG filter for the first time to fill your gun...

Like Yo said you be pumping long time to fill more than one filter. So probly don't want to go with more than one. Actually a smallish Yong Heng type filter would werq fairly good for a hand pump as you purge the moisture from it every time you partially fill the gun anyway. Make sure you dry the filter after every fill or two though. Replace it when it gets ugly. At the very most I would use one of these.

Ah, I read it would take more work the more and bigger filters you used, but didn't know how MUCH work. Thanks!

That looks like my bigger filter, with charcoal, beads, and a foam filter, mated with the single-chamber foam-filled shorties I got. Thanks! I will probably just use one filter then and think about using more only when/if I get a compressor.
