ST-X barrel sleeve swap problem

They are caliber specific in that the inner dimensions are different between calibers.
I think the outer dimensions are meant to be the same though, so probably a tolerance issue there.

With help from Glem, yes another snag, I'm just about to shoot the Crown over the Chrono with the 600mm slug liner.
I'm going to run some 21gr pellets first just to see the improvement just from a longer barrel. Then I'll see what the 23gr slugs get up to.

Here's the "after" chart. No tweaking anything, just used the same settings as before.
Now to tune for the 23gr slugs.

Just because I'm a little slow on the uptake here.....
your before chrono was with 21.1 grain slugs in a stock (choked) barrel, and your after chrono was with the unchoked slug barrel which is 10cm longer? And with this change alone you gained an average of 38fps.

No, the 21.1gr are the H&N pellets.....I just wanted to see the increase in performance just from a longer barrel, since that was all I had close enough to compare.
Sadly the chart I ran with the 21gr slugs didn't save for some reason. But the performance was good.
I'm going to start a new thread okay guys?
Just to add a final note to this one, there was one other snag getting the gun set up for slugs. The slug liner out of the box would not go fully into the barrel housing, like it would only go so far before it would stop and couldn't even be twisted and pushed by hand.
Thanks again to Glem for helping me with the solution, which was to polish the breech end of the liner enough to get it seated, albeit very snug.

Just read this one Bob, had to do exactly the same with my liner, polish the breech end with wet and dry in order to seat it all the way.
