My favorite is watching a squirrel dig a dozen holes and not once place the nut in his mouth in any of the holes just created. They literally turn the back part of my property into a moonscape in the fall.

Typically with an 18gr pellet through both sides of the head. Sometimes I use a 25gr pellet. Other times, an 8gr pellet. I am not a picky man.

They're real cute when they burrow down next to the perennials and dig up the roots and leave them laying there! Or better yet, dig up the crocus bulbs and replant wherever they darn well please.

Ever since Your USA grey squirrels swam across the Atlantic and invaded the UK they have caused havoc
Wiping out of the UK red , eating our local songbird eggs and chicks, clearance of whole forests of trees, worst still, eating my Pears.
It is my National duty to correct the invader, correct it without prejudice, and make a nice pie in the process.

They are very entertaining to watch but the damage to tractors lawn equipment and all other seasonal equipment in barns and sheds are unexpectedly expensive and aggravating. By the time that you find out about a problem your equipment could be very far from the tools or rescue and that hurts me .

They look even cuter through my scopes with the crosshair centered on the forehead. And even cuter-er when I deliver a good case of acute lead poisoning right there and then…….so cute I want many many more cute squirrels.

That's true and if the car isn't your everyday driver it could happen- maintenance has nothing to do with it. It reminds me of what happened to me several years ago. I have a 1969 440-6 bbl Road Runner that I put up every winter. One spring when I took it out for it's shakedown cruise I floored the gas pedal to open up the secondaries and when I did a walnut rolled just perfectly under the secondary linkage locking all 6 barrels wide open!! In my panic for some reason I pushed in the clutch and the engine immediately revved to over 8 grand which simply isn't good for a big block Mopar
! Luckily all I did was bend 1 valve. I now check every spring under the air cleaner.Upvote 0
Send them my way. All of the wild life around here is either song birds or yotes. No invasive species and no squirrels. We do have the occasional rat.

Usually with a 14.3 with my TH56 or my Bunghole likes to bring them to the front porch. He loves fetching but he's not so gentle with the squirrels

They ate all the Apples in the trees in our yard. I miss my wife's Apple pies. I won't miss the squirrels.

I like to Boil about a half hour in a pressure pot ,then roll in flour and fry them. Make gravy from the drippings and serve on a bed of rice. They ain't pest they are dinner.
I don't shoot them in the head if I can help it. Mess up the head and you loose some good eating.
