I managed to get away from the city this past weekend and I’m glad I did, this place is far but totally worth it.
The Edgun didn’t disappoint and the spot had plenty action, lots of squirrels and cottontails (too bad they are out of season)
here is a few pics a took, I also have some videos but I need to do some editing before I post them, its really a PIA$$ to record and shot at the same time, I’m gonna have to bring some else to take care of the cameras! Lol
most of the shots were from 40-85 yards
I spot this big female @ 73 yards sunbathing on top of a big rock
After a few more i got this juvenile @85 yards, the JBS put a hurt on it.
After a few hours of constant action it was time for lunch, nothing like a good peanut butter and jelly sandwich and cold coffee.
Chilling under a nice tree.
I was very surprised that I didn’t have to walk a lot to find the squirrels, as soon as I parked my truck I had to make sure my rifle was still zerod , I took a few shots and the squirrel alarm went off, I could hear them left and right, I told myself....this is gonna be a good day!
This is another one that I got @ 61 yards, it was a difficult shot, it was seating on a dead tree, covered by a few branches, I only could see its head and neck, the JSB put a smack on it, no twitching.
this one was big! It had some kinda skin disease, I didn’t bother to retrieve it, a few crows were flying around, im pretty sure they took care of it, free lunch! Lol
after almost 8 hours of shooting it started to get a bit windy so I decided to pack up and go home.
overall it was a great day, perfect weather.
.....and here is the protagonist, till next outing!!!
