Squirrels, and 300 year old oaks

I was playing around with my field target rifle making sure it was cited in, when in the background I noticed this huge fox squirrel in my favorite oak tree ...108 yards away. My 30 pulsar modified, was lying right next to me. I have been shooting it at 100 yards. Bad luck for the squirrel.

bad luck for the tree to if the pellet imbedded in it .. yes, trees can die of lead poisoning also, i killed a couple of mine shooting sqirrels out of them over the years and finally realized what was doing it ..

That is one fine shot and one big hole!!!! Well Done. Not sure about lead in trees, but I have seen stores of lead bullets being found in trees that were probably hit during the Civil War.

44 grain makes a nice hole. The 30 Cricket is very appealing.

for sure the biggest from a functionality standpoint was the Heli board. I also had a different barrel. And I removed the shroud which I don’t understand...The fact that we have to pay for a shroud every time we buy a day state bothers me.
