Tomorrow, 9/15, squirrel season opens, great!
However, I have relocated nearly all the squirrels on my property to my freezer this summer, and I won't have many more until the walnuts drop. This too is OK I guess.
What's not so good is that to get any more squirrels for the freezer, I'll have to go into the woods, and become the hunted by all the bitey things. Especially the mosquitoes that have procreated at a level I haven't seen in decades due to the wet spring/summer
Heck, I even have to fog a good portion of my back yard 2 times a day just to be able to sit on the porch!
The warm weather also means that wearing a lot of protective clothes makes me miserable.
Oh well. I'll make sure to take an antihistamine, bathe in bug repellent, and have plenty of adult beverages available for when I get home!

Hopefully you will need a bigger freezer this year! We know how those pesky mosquitoes can be over here in Florida
