@Cheplicki The fox squirrel next to your boot was huge! Looks like a decent couple days of hunting. Which scope do you have on that Maverick? I’m thinking an Athlon.

@Cheplicki Thanks. I had a Westhunter briefly and returned it due to issues with running out of elevation. I didn’t want to shim it out of the box. The video quality looks good through that glass. Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed the video as usual.

Nice haul right there! That Maverick is a beast, and pretty solid as compared to the Impact. Yes, you are right. They are very underrated. I'd trade my Mk 1-2 Impact for a Maverick for hunting and range work, and have it perform just as well but without some of the worry that comes with the Impact.

I've had my Mavericks out for ground squirrels, of course EVERY &^%$ TIME there has been horrible shifting winds, the squirrels just laughed and flipped me off, partially because I have to be 40+ yards as it's wide open. Oh well next year, they are down in the burrows kicking back in their recliners watching their flat panels now.

I could have bought an Impact but for me and my needs, the Maverick is all that I need for what I do. I've never bothered to tamper with its settings because it's a shooter out of the box. What I really enjoy about my Maverick is the shot count and the number of pellets that the magazine holds, 22 in .177.
