Squirrel has eggs and lead for breakfast

I caught this deranged juvenile with his back legs hanging out of my bluebird box. I thought he was just checking it out, but he sat on top and started eating an egg. He went for another and I popped him. Picture is exit wound from the skull top. FX Wildcat 45 yds. I seriously didn’t know squirrels would raid bird eggs. Maybe he grew up with a raccoon? Arrow on box shows pellet pass through into wood. He didn’t get a second chance. I hope he didn’t damage the other eggs.
