Squirrel dodged my pellet, literally like the Matrix

True story, this guy emerged unscathed.

At first glance, I thought I had only wounded it, but it remained in the area for most of the afternoon, barking at me. So I thought perhaps I missed, or perhaps a flier.

But then I slowed it down. To me, a full dodge ALMOST appears plausible by the way he twists and flips.

Thoughts?

I never seen the pellet. To me it looks like you just missed. But if he did dodge the pellet , like a deer dodges an arrow, that would mean your pellets are too slow. Or your shot was a long distance.

Too blurry to really see anything...wanted to see a cool pellet dodging but it's hard to make anything of that video.

That's freaking spooky! Looks like you might need one of those full-auto bb guns as a backup? Next time that happens, you can follow up the shot with a stream of full-auto bb's. See if the nasty vermin can dodge that? lol.

It is difficult to see, that's for sure. But if I had to guess, I suspect you clipped him. I shot one last fall that did nearly the same avoidance maneuver. But when I finally got him, there was a groove in the hair on the top of his head.
