Squirrel and a Rabbit in the rain

saw the Rabbit a long way off, managed to crawl within 35 yds of it before I took the shot, I was really pleased with myself for getting so close. I gave myself a virtual pat on the back for such a good effort.
on further examination of the Rabbit it appeared all my self adulation was worthless as the Rabbit was blind in one eye.





i can't even say it had its good eye facing me as I crawled up on it .. Oh well ... One for the records

went back home and managed to bag a Squirrel digging up the rear lawn

Looks like the rabbit might have had myxomatosis ???

Myxomatosis would likely have been his demise, but Simshaz gave him a healthy dose of pelletosis. ; ) haha. Good job with the squirrel too.

His other eye was perfectly clear, whether it's an old injury or a recovery from Myxy .... Who knows
appreciate the comments though, Squirrel was most satisfying given it was digging in my lawn

dont be too hard on yourself, rabbits have excellent hearing
