Squirell hunting scope

Is this the break-barrel or PCP?

If its the break-barrel (130/135 models) I would probably look at the UTG line. Most likely in the 3-9 or 3-12 range, power range. They have fairly thick mildot reticles which will be easier to see in the woods and during dawn/dusk. I have the goofy 36 color illuminated reticle and very rarely us it. These scopes are pretty inexpensive...and You'll appreciate the money You saved when buying those .30 pellets!

If it's the PCP You have,You can mount pretty much any scope your heart desires. But once again, the money saved can go towards the pricey .30 pellets.

Hope this helps You.

Mike.

Next question is... First or Second focal plane ??

Quick and dirty: paper puncher will prefer second focal plane (SFP), hunters may prefer First (FFP).

SFP the reticle is the same size, no matter what the zoom level is. Downside is that the distance between the stadia (dots or bars outside the cross hair) changes depending on the zoom level. I.E., at 100 yards there may be 3.06 inches between each dot on 12x, but at 3x each dot is 12 inches apart on the target.

FFP, the reticle will zoom in congruent to the target. If you have 3.06 inches between dots at 100 yards on 12x, then you will have 3.06 inches between dots at 100 yards on 4x. That makes it easier to judge distance without having to be on a certain zoom level.

That said, for SFP is reccomend

For FFP I can personally recommend
