Springer's for the young. And young of heart.

One of the best things about winter is shooting indoor. It's cold, dark at 4:30 And what's better than a youth springer for some relaxing fun. Do you also have a indoor springers you enjoy shooting?

I'm confused?😵‍💫😮‍💨🤣what's a youth springer??🤷‍♂️ I think I only have 2? Do pistons count?😩sorry for all the questions; just trying to learn more🤔

That’s quite a nice collection. My HW30s with an aperture rear sight is a fun close range plinker. Although where I live the weather doesn’t really keep me inside during the winter so I still mostly shoot it in the backyard. Another fun rifle but not a springer is my Daisy 853 10 meter rifle. I got it used from the CMP and its a fun plinker.

When I think of a "youth" anything it needs to also be physically sized for a mini-person. The HW30/R7 is mentioned a lot however the pull length on the HW30 is identical to the R9/HW95 and the TX200. I know, I have all three and checked. A kid would certainly be able to cock my HW30 (for example) but if his arms are too short it won't be comfortable to shoot. Physical size of the air gun is a factor.

He's referring to spring-piston guns that were specifically designed for younger, smaller shooters: short, light, easy to cock, less power.

Those are relatively rare in today's market that is saturated with high-power guns, but in former days most makers had smaller models such as the nice collectibles in the OP's photo.
