Springer rated high magnification bang for the buck.

Looking for a good value scope for springers and magnum springers. Primary use is local informal FT so a 10 yard parallax is also helpful.

I would like a higher magnification, 24x minimum. Higher is better for my sight.

Length, weight, tube size are not important.

A reticle with more than just a duplex or center target dot.

I had high hopes for the Tac Vector sentinel line and the Aim Sport Alpha 6. But neither is springer rated.

I am not opposed to spending more if it can be justified but really looking for the best value.

Let the suggestions begin.

Vortex Crossfire2 6-24x50AO BDC SFP MONSTROSITY. China. Picture Looks same as side focus Diamondback Tactical maybe even a little clearer at 20-24x IMO.

Buyvelsewhere that you find discount code or promo. Reviews are for reference only.

Or a Leupold EFR 6.5-20x40 AO Custom Shop reticle that will end up around $1000 after adding all the cool options like turrets and reticle and stuff.

Pay roundtrip shipping I'll send you my brand new VORTEX to check out.

It is way clearer than your Athlon Argos 6-24x50 Side focus.

Which version of Vortex do you have?

BTW,

Odoyle Rules!

LoL! Ha Ha Ha!

Wouldn't the Sightron SIII handle springers like the 10-50x60. It's made in Japan right?

I believe so. There were some great deals on them a couple of months ago when they were clearing out old stock. I got one for 650. I would love to get a couple more if the deal was still around. The one I have is currently on a Daystate MK4.

Just a thought but when my Diana 45 and 52 trashed several scopes I started using the Diana Bullseye mount and have had no problems since. Some have found the mount sloppy I think that there was a Chinese copy of the Chinese mount going on about then. My first was so good I bought another and both lock up tight. I also shoot some pretty good groups with it.

Lewis,

Evan if they don't hold up to your magnum springer, the warranty does.

No fault, no question, no receipt, lifetime transferrable.

I still don't trust anything on springers in the 12-25ft/lb range.

Ditto! My experience also, especially with the "magnum" springers. That sub-sonic vibration is a real problem.

Buy from a reputable dealer so if/when problems arise, you don't have to call China to get warranty relief. Been there, done that, wasted time, just as well been talking to a cheese sandwich!!! So, choose your dealer carefully!!!

Thank you. I do have Bullseye mounts on a couple of springers. There are things that can be done to minimize the slop. Mine work very well. The biggest issue is that not many scopes will fit the mount because the mechanism. The scope has to have a very small bump under the turrets.

I have a Diana 460 magnum, and I use a vortex crossfire 2. I called vortex directly, and they said they are magnum springer rated when using good solid mounts. They also have a no frills lifetime warranty. My only gripe is the eye relief is rather small at high magnification, but it’s clear and great light. Also the reticle is more designed for firearms with the bcc style, but it’s useable for ft!
