Springer moderator removable

I live in n.j which considers air rifles as guns so saying that most Springer have moderators so this is a no no in my state can they be removed on the weighrauchs for example I'm not even thinking gamo cause they suck anyway can't group for poop to powerful can anybody help me out here

Most HW's that I am aware of do not come with a mod from the factory especially US versions. What looks like a mod on the R9/HW95 for example is nothing more than a weight/grip and has no baffles at all. The HW97 has an empty cavity and no baffles either.

The HW95 Luxus at (AOA) doesn't come with one in case your still looking and mine is very accurate.

The RWS 34’s don’t come with one, unless the weight on the compact is considered one by your state.

Yea I'm pretty sure this came up not to long ago that even a muzzlebreak (no baffling ) in N.J. is a no go. Lots of good Weihrauch guns to choose from still.

They are not even a brake as they have no holes, gas ports or sound limiting properties. A true brake will vent gases the weights will not.

Doesn't matter. Believe the law is Nothing that appears to be a moderator ......even shrouded barrels are illegal. Besides there are lots of great Weihrauch's that would fit the bill, why chance it. This is NJ we're talking about.

NJ laws says "Nothing that appears to be a silencer"????? can you post that here??? 

This is what I found;

"As per a recent interpretation by the State Attorney General's office, the New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife's Bureau of law enforcement... Silencers are defined as any device designed to lessen or muffle the noise of the gun discharging" a muzzle weight has no such properties.

Mike you may be right. (You maybe wrong also.) And that would suck for the OP .Reading through some of the forums and laws seems this question comes up alot for NJ residents. Even if you are right, it can be how an officer reads the law and how they determine "what" the law is. Is it worth the risk? To be on the wrong side of this debate could get you in some serious trouble. With all the airguns that Weihrauch makes that don't have anything attached to the barrel that would suit his purpose, why risk the problems.

LOL A fellow has to know his limitations as well as his realities. Some times a “yes dear” will work but not likely on a officer of da law .

Here in PA you can apply for and obtain a silencer for a powder burner . I looked into it and decided I didn’t need it nearly enough to go through all of that. However . I am not opposed to what is required. I am of the opinion we make gun ownership entirely too easy. I just don’t feel the need badly enough to spend the time or the significant money to do it

Seriously, the best way to fix your problem is to move from NJ, if this isn’t an option most “things” attached to a barrel are removable via a grub screw and/or a heat gun. 

Most springers actually don’t have moderators. Just buy one without even the resemblance of one.
