I always see people recording through their rifles, but I wonder, why not get a spotting scope to record through instead? You'd probably have a better image, more stable and better zoom? I'm going to give it a try, in my typical fashion, I'm doing it as inexpensively as I can. My thought process is that you wouldn't have those shaky-cam shots as the trigger is pulled. You'd still get to see everything else, but it would be stable instead of shaking all over the place when you pull the trigger. Obviously not practical for action shots while hunting, but just wondering why no one else has tried this? Here's what I've got:

I might try this too, if it will help. Has anyone tried one of these?
