I am selling an Evanix Blizzard .22 that was owned and tuned by Will Piatt. He sold it to a club member and I bought it from him. It shoots very accurate and is in fine cosmetic shape.The friend I bought it from had a problem with the magazine cycling, being hard and sometimes skipping. I am a gunsmith and half ass PCP tuner so I looked into it. It had an issue with the side plate getting jammed up and scored by the SS hammer bolt losing its threads. I sent to Korea to get the replacement striker /hammer and bolt. $20.00 for the two parts and $50.00 shipping!...Yeah, I know! I also replaced the damaged side plate.
While waiting for the Korean parts I simply cycled the mag with my trigger finger. The accuracy improved by not having the lever contact the mag and the pellet seating perfect! It is about as good as single loading! I also dropped the original pellet speed from mid 900’s to average 898 for better control and improved target accuracy. I don’t hunt with air guns. If wanted for hunting and you prefer the lever operated mag, I will put the new hammer back in with the lever. I really think the finger method is just as quick and definitely more accurate. It is a simple operation to put it back if a buyer wants to shoot it as is, then decide to put the striker and lever back in. I will include the new hammer and guide bolt in a bag . Also personal instructions if unsure..I show a target that I was testing diff pellets in the gun. The lower right group is of a Crosman pistol so ignore it. The center pellet holes are actually ¼” stick on dots that I shot and punched them out on the first or second attempts with my FX, so ignore too. Each gun has a line around its groups. The Evanix is the upper left grouping. Email for more photos and closeups if wanted.. It likes the JSB 18.4 round nose Exacts.. Told you it is accurate.The rifle is a hard hitting .22 presently at avg velocity of 896 fps for 32.42 FPS Asking $500.00 + $25.00 shipping This is a heavy gun,,!
