Sparrow Goes Feet up With .22 Hatsan Vortex Edge ;- )

Waiting for starlings to appear and doing some sighting in stuff with my new Hatsan Vortex Edge and a sparrow lands at my 20 yard marked tree ... well I take aim with the Crosman Premier HP and let one go ... The minute the trigger was squeezed I heard the sound of a Mike Tyson punch to the gut .. this sparrow goes back to the ground and down ... not a twitch.

Shot was a chest shot and it was all she wrote. No pics, but you guys get the picture. This bird was hit hard, my next starling i will post a pic of that.

"1kshooter"there is nothing wrong with the results your getting ...and CPHP's are cheap and easy to find everywhere
I have lots of 15.8 and 18.1 gr JSB's and a bunch of 21 gr H&N Kodiaks ... great pellets, but ...... I really can't fault the CPHP at $6.47 per 500 in .22 !

I may go to Wally World tomorrow and pick up 4 or so more tins ... they shoot very good and hit small game hard. The are a medium weight pellet and shoot well in just about every airgun I own. They are a little bit smaller diameter think than the new Crosman Piranha (a good pellet), but perform well at the 50 yard range and under I hunt with them ! They are fine for sparrows, starlings, pigeons and the like. In my guns they are fine for 35 yard ground squirrels and rabbits too !

This is a heck of a pellet and at the price that Wally World sells them, 30+% less than everyone else, they are a no brainer !
