Spare parts for the Carette ...............

Below is a picture of what I previously called a relief valve which is located in the bottom of the water pump. I find out today that the lower steel tubing line that enters the Oil - Water separator has a similiar fitting that screws into the external fitting that screws into the O-W Separator. Only difference is the spring that contains the poppet is different material and it may be longer than the water pumps. I also found what looks like a o ring in the separator valve that I didn't find in the water pump.

Anyone ever ordered these parts before? Seems to me they should be available somewhere? Maybe Bosun Hu will help us out? Have heard him reference spare parts but have not seen any information on where to get them.

I would contact the dealer you purchased your compressor from to help you get it going again especially since that's where you spent your money in the first place and it's only fair to get the help needed you're the paying customer. Just read he has a huge following that nothing but majority of overwhelming positive feedback with only a few that will never ever deal with again so it really looks to me like the odds seem very good for you to ask him.

I understand and appreciate your advice Odoyle. I spoke to the person that I purchased the Carette from and described the relief valve to him which I have pictured above. He basically told me he has never seen a problem with the water pump before and does not carry spare parts for them. He did not offer to get them for me but offered to remove a water pump off a new carette as I understood him to say. I took the offer and ordered a few other parts. He took my credit card number and told me he would be getting the parts out Monday to me. The following Monday (Week later) I called and requested a tracking number for the package. Was told it had not shipped yet because the person that works on his compressors had quit and he didn't have anyone to remove the water pump. I told him I needed the airline and foster that I had ordered with the pump now not later. He directed me to his associate to get that part out because he was busy at the time. Hi associate told me he would get it right out and send tracking number. After not receiving it or the tracking number about a week later I called again and asked for the tracking number. He said he had been busy and forgot to mail or something like that. Later that day I decided to e-mail them and asked the order be cancelled and for a full refund. About three day's later the full package arrives. This whole process took close to a month from when I first spoke to the the owner about my compressor problem. I picked up a backup compressor just because I wasn't sure what the outcome of the carette would be. That failed on the first attempt but the dealer I purchased it from paid for me to ship it back and gave me a new replacement. Was without a compressor for about a week and so far so good with the replacement but I still have my fingers crossed.
