Spanish vs US made .22 CPHPs

I was out o 177 7.9s hollowpoints. Wally only had these 7.6 hollowpoints.
I tried them then tried to-return the unopened can and found that you cant return pellets. They shot terrible. I shoot the original Avenger and we shoot baby aspirins at 30 yards. The new ones will not shoot the same hole at only 10 yards This airgun always shoots most brands of pellets without flyers.
If this is what crosman is going to offer I will be forced to order online.
Dont waste your money unless you only shoot tin cans. JCS

I got lucky with our Walmart. Apparently not.many .22 pellet shooters here, so I was able to snatch up 13 more tins of the American made cphp's. I have yet to see the new.made in Spain versions there, but since I am sitting on about 21000 of them, among a bunch of other makes and grains, I should be good a while. I have a Notos, a standard Gsmo Arrow.and a àBenjamin 392 that do shoot the U.S. Crosman lights out, so I can keep them all very well fed.

from my observation that green that you see around “.22 Cal” is the tell tale of the “Made in Spain” variant.

Wonder how much money gamo saves by shaving the weight from original 7.9 to 7.6 as said on the .177

Before thsh sale to gamo i daid it be nice if crosmsn made a 8.5 - 9 grain heavy .177 ...lol.

No a buddy pickef uo a tin of Daisy hp .177 and gave me a tin seems they were also 7.3 or so . I figured that's too light but the R9/hw95 shot them well enugh id buy them again in a pinch to use . I now wonder if the new gamo primer hp () are just the daisy pellets retinned in a look a like cphp looking tin

This sucks. Us old folks don’t like change, especially when it’s not change for the better. I’m hoping that some members start reporting some of their guns liking these new pellets.

Thanks for nothing daisy. This is only my thought from things I've heard in conversation with people who would know, but it's almost as though daisy is trying to spike crosman as a brand after they bought them.

It would really suck if Daisy is actually “spiking” the Crosman brand. That wouldn’t make much sense to me.

I have not been able to find any USA made CPHP at any local Walmart. If anyone is willing to sell a few tins let me know! I'm down to my last tin.

Here’e my take on them, after doing a quick test at 24 meters.
The new ones look a lot cleaner coming out of the box, I always had to wash and lube the old ones to not get your hands all dirty from loading them.

The 2 target groups on the left are with the new ones, 2 on the right the old ones.
Upper targets are 5 shots each with a ssloader,
Bottom targets are 11 shots each with a magazine.

You can see the CTC group size on the chalkboard.

Of course this is just a small test, but my initial impression is that they perform at least at the same level as the old ones, (at least at this distance) so I’m happy about that!

.177 doing me good 50y no prob . Ill grab some .22 next to see . The daisy .177 hp did well for me to . Wish instead of lighter they kept it the sam 7.9 or go heavier up to 9g .

Looking at your picture sbove of the .22 looks they kept the weight same 14.3 . Im liking that part on them so i not looking yoward issues using them as well ..
