Rex and gang had a bunch of airgun fun this past weekend down in Duncan Arizona.
Here's the group photo...
Pistol Silhouettes
Had a total of 4 people involved in the Friday afternoon pistol silhouettes. Rex was top score, with a 39/40, Next was a tie for 35 between Steve Q and Franz D. They had a shoot off and Steve walked away with second place. Keldon was the fourth, and Keldon was the fourth shooter, with a score of 26.
Rifle Silhouettes
The after-dark rifle silhouettes on Friday night had seven shooters, with the score breakdown the following:
Rex J 39
Franz D 35
Brandon K 34
Sean W 33
Steve Q 32
Keldon D 27
Jared K 22
And the winners of that night silhouette match:
Field Target
And the main event, the Saturday morning field target match. Rex wanted me to share a shout out to Steve Q and Franz D for helping set the course. LOTS of work. They set 10 lanes, 3 targets per lane, with lane 10 having a fourth target. All in all, a 62 shot match. And they don't set gimme courses down in Duncan. The overall Troyer worked out to just shy of 37! and that's not giving it any difficulty factors for wind or dark.
Here are the course stats...red circles are the two hardest targets, green the easiest...
(That bonus target, with the anxiety inducing 56 Troyer placing, was used as the tiebreaker in a few cases).
And as an example of the types of targets you see at a match here....check out this photo sequence (courtesy of Garrett K).
Fun stuff!
There were 13 shooters in the field target match, 12 of which chose to participate in Hunter class, with the one stand-alone being Garrett K in WFTF.
And the field target winners ..
Thanks to Garrett and Rex for the photos for this match report. And to the aforementioned set-up crew, and the tear down crew of Franz and Keldon. And of course to property owner Tom, for sharing his beautiful river bottom with us.
