Somewhat Low BC of 0.35 from the .25 JSB Kings in the FX pellet liner

Hi all, so I’ve been doing lots of testing and trying to perfect my tune and get everything all set up on my FX dreamtac, but I just recently measured the BC of the .25 Kings and got .035, going about 900 FPS, which suprised me. I thought that FX’s barrels are supposed to not dig into pellets as much as a traditional rifles barrel to help with the BC, whereas JSB .25 kings have a BC of about .36 from a regular barrel. Would anyone happen to know what might cause something like that to happen?

Check your chrony and or your rangefinder.

0.035 or 0.036 are pretty normal BCs at sea level for .25 JSB Kings. FX STX barrel liners are not magic and perhaps result in slightly higher BCs, but not enough to make a significant difference.

Try backing things down to under 700fps and see how the BC is affected. May just surprise you.

Will do. I’ll try lowering the velocity on my gun down to 850-700 and see what happens. Shame I was hoping for a magic barrel, would be great for the Kings in the fx barrel to have a BC of .0500.
