Sometimes torn

I would say that every single animal feels somewhat different to kill. Even the same animal feels different in different situations as you pointed out with the squirrel.

I’ll give one example for me. Killing a mature deer, a buck, brings to an end the ritual of the hunt. Starlings not so much. Everything else is somewhere in between.

For the majority of my life I would not deer hunt. Then I became a very avid Deer Hunter for about 20 years. Now it’s winding down a little.

Every single one is different.
