Something Interesting from Hatsan!

Was trolling around on a few web site when I looked up Hatsan main site, not the US site. They have these and a few others posted in there New Guns section. The Factor Bull Pup looks cool but the Blitz with the 4 bottles???? Better be close to a quick filling compressor when its time to fill!!! I would imagine it would have to weigh 15lbs or better. I'll need to look it up again and see if they list the weight. Anyways just thought it was interesting!

Maybe like gamo. Gamo usa just got these models , but gamo eu / spain got models or choice in models. Like hatsan and s now just Qe shrouded here but there (overseas) you can get that and standard barrels still.. then like kral look at all they have in models but here you just got like the 3 only? now why is that ? Also look at the selection of pelkets offered there vs here.. your so called gun rights working for you ..lol. They got it you dont

I am very interested in the Factor RC bullpup. My Factor RC consistently shoots CPHPs almost well as some $2000+ guns I have shot. It will keep up with a friends FX M3 shooting JSB Jumbo Monsters. With a moderator on it the Factor RC is just too long for me. If the trigger is acceptable, I would sell my Factor RC and replace it with the bullpup in a heartbeat.

As for the Blitz --- I will probably buy a full auto PCP gun some day just for the fun of it and the Blitz appears to be the lowest cost. Not interested in a $2500 full auto as it is just for giggles. I love shooting class 3 stuff but it is so expensive. The glaring thing lacking on the multi-bottle guns for me is a higher capacity magazine. I would want at least 30 rounds in 30 cal and probably 50-100 in 22 cal.

The 4 bottle Blitz weighs 13.5 pounds.

Ya, can't imagine why someone would want a 4 bottle gun??? To each there own I guess. I loved my Uragan King but sold it as the 2 bottles was a bit much and made the gun too heavy, great off the bench though!

I can see the reason for the higher capacity air after watching YouTube vids of the Blitz. The single bottle is too small for the Blitz if you want to throw several hundred pellets downrange.

Shot count on the 4 bottle Blitz:

  • .177 Cal 500
  • 22 Cal 480
  • 25 Cal 400
  • 30 Cal 360

You definitely would want a large tank to refill from! A 30 cal full auto shooting my less than 1 penny NOE slugs would be a lot of fun but I would probably get the 22 Cal and shoot CPHPs in it. I don't enjoy casting slugs enough to throw them downrange at 1000 rounds a minute. I used to shoot 50 BMG quite a bit in several bolt actions as well as the Barrett. Friends of mine had M2HB Brownings - The called it the Mad Minute when you emptied a 100 round belt downrange. Back then you could buy 50 BMG surplus ammo for less than a dollar around. Nowadays, I guess it is a lot more than that.

Retail price in South Africa is 46995 Rand.

I don't see this as very practical. Maybe have a spare tank handy for extra air but this is over and above unnecessary. I'll pass.

I don't think "Full Auto" and "Necessary" go hand in hand. If I had gobs of extra cash AND they come out with a higher capacity magazine, I would buy one. But being retired and $2600 for a fun toy, probably not. I will be buying a standard model Blitz eventually for about 1/3 the cost, mainly for the semi auto setting, but I am sure I and my grandkids and kids will have a lot of fun with it on full auto as well. Imagine a dozen 2 liter bottles downrange, filled with compressed air, ripped into with a single burst. Essentially "Free Tannerite".
