Some springer shooting tonight

For tonight's shop shooting session, I started with my tuned Ruger Air Hawk shooting 7.9 Crosman HP'S. Shooting the factory open sights at 10m 5 shots.


Next, I grabbed my JWR FWB 300S with a Simmons 4-12 prosport. This first group was with the same cheap 7.9's I shot out of the Ruger for a 5 shot group at 10m.


I then got a special tin of crosman 7.9 boxed premiers that shoot awesome out of this FWB. Note: the calipers are showing outside to outside for this group, because it was one hole, where as the other groups were center to center. THE RIGHT PELLET MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE!!

Didn't put up another piece of cardboard, just made a dot on what paper is stuck on my backstop and shot a group with predator polymags out of the FWB out of curiosity. Still a single hole, but it measures .004" bigger outside to outside than the boxed premiers.

...gotta get me a FWB300 at some point... What's going to go though, to make room for it? All my rifles are shooting so well now. I think about that as a drift off to sleep tonight.

The 300 is an amazing rifle for sure!!

I still sell guns that I really don't care about, but the ones I do will never leave. Learned that long ago. Now, I just buy a new gun safe when the others get full!!

Aaron are those the Crosman pellets you were telling me about that come in the box of like 1250 and off better dies ? I'm gonna try and find me some this weekend at the gun show

Yes Joe, those are it. The ones I was shooting last night are a very old lot that just shoots awesome in every gun I ever tried them in. Unfortunately, I only have about 50 of those pellets left.

If I pick up some and they work like that I'll send u some ...really good pellets can be hard to find

AJ don't be telling Joe what we have been getting those good groups with. Its like fishing a tournament, you either hide your rods in the rod box when you weigh in or tie something on you didn't fish with.

I wonder what those special pellets are? (can't get them in .22 anymore)

Not sure if crosman will continue making the .177 or not?? I only have 2 boxes of .22 left.

Yeah guys I'm hoping to pick up a couple tins of the " other " JSB pellets . The ones in the tins that look more old school ...I had two boxes of 22 heavies and all the groups I used to post with my Cricket Carbine were shot with those tins
