@ Yen- I don’t know for fact that does happen, but it seems to me ive read somewhere where a guy purposely over priced his gun so no one would buy it. But he did as his wife asked him to, to sell off before she approved him buying new.
Trouble is, what guns he had left he cherished them all and didn’t want to let go.
In your case the price is not the issue, but making contact is.
Man, we’ve all heard it especially over the holidays- we just don’t know what a person is going thru. There’s probably a reason he’s working long shifts, right? If it were me in your shoes, I’d send one more pm between now and New Years, and in that pm tell him you’ll be contacting him again after the New Years, and if he wants you yo stop contacting him to please let you know.
One of my purchases here in this classifieds was from a guy who is no longer. In fact the Gun and everything hobby related he sold as he didn’t want his wife to have to deal with things after he passed.
The gun I bought from him, which I thought would sell fast, ended up on page 10, still available. I contacted him asking if he still had it and he said yes. I mentioned I was surprised because he was selling a brand new fresh out of case(to only take pics) for $400 less than new price. He told me the few folks that contacted him accused him of being a scammer, main reason is the gun wasn’t even released yet but he had one(that’s another story).
So this is a perfect example of someone being called a scammer but no one knew of his situation. I think about him Everytime I pull that Gun out
