Some days your "on" - some days your just not

So yesterday I went out to the range where I'm able to shoot my air rifles and . . . well lets just say that when I decided to leave I wasn't terribly impressed with my shooting. It wasn't horribly bad mind you - but I know for a fact that I wasn't putting shots where I *know* I can place them.

I had to run errands this morning ( burning vaca days from work ). I grabbed my gun intending on stopping at the range again. It was cooler out this morning - temps only about mid-upper 40's BUT . . . glad I didn't muck with the gun at all. I think I've got a tune on this one now that I'm going to run with for a bit. After yesterday I was contemplating on "messing" with it - glad I didn't. I only pulled the trigger this morning about a half dozen times but these three or four were all I needed to get my mojo / confidence in this gun and it's current tune back. :)

First one @the 53 yard target board . . . my zero is at 40 and I had the turret sitting at zero. 1st shot - dead on - just low. ( duh - lol ) Satisfied with the next two ( after dialing up a couple of clicks on the scope ) I put a spatter target out on the far side of a field and ranged it at 116 yards. 1 shot - I inset that hit on target into the overall photo at lower left. It was kind of chilly and I hadn't had breakfast yet - I'm good - packed it in and went back home. :)

Thanks guys!

@dingfelder -- the white one with the splatter target? Honestly -- I'm not sure - maybe "legal" size? One of the muzzle loader guys from the range where I shoot at gave me a stack of them - that someone else had given to him. He thought I could put them to better use than he could - they shoot those "old fashioned" "civil war" era muzzleloaders - flintlock type dealies. A couple of the guys get pretty good accuracy with them out to 50 yards or so - but no where near the kind of laser like precision we get with our toys. I've got a couple of them on the fence re: purchasing a pcp - they're genuinely impressed with my pcp's that they've seen. ( Taipan Veteran Long .22, Customized M-Rod .177, and this RTI .25 )

@shambozzie & everyone else for that matter. Oh yeah - my bad. RTI Prophet .25 cal. NSA 36.2g slugs - reg at "just under 160" -- 158 - 159'ish. I've got the hammer spring turned in about 5.5 or so mm deep and this combo is chucking the slugs at around 908 fps.
