some "back in the day" vids of a hw95 & 1 RX2

I remember when I got my RX. I thought I owned in my hands the baddest rat sniping pellet gun made, ever. At 20 caliber, it just stopped a rat dead in its tracks. My buddy with his R1 in 177 just had to get one, but he did one better, and got the Theoben in 22 cal.

I stupidly tried to add more air in with the RX hand pump and instead, bled some air out. Just about the same time, Beeman came out with a notice o have all RX rifles upgraded to RX1 status, which meant a few better parts. I lived three hours from his shop in Santa Rosa, so off I went. Told him to add the optional “super gas” instead of regular air in the gas ram.

Still have that gun today. Still as handsome as it was when I first got it, with all the bling bling that beeman offered for it back in the day. It shoots the H&N Crow magnums the best. This gun along with a Benjamin Nitro Piston Titan in 22 cal, are the only break barrels I own, that’s left out of the four I had up to a month ago. Sold my R10 deluxe, and my FWB 124 sport, which I sort of regret, but I know for a fact they’re in good homes and will be used more so than when I had them.

One of these days, I ought to go thru that RX1 and just upgrade all the seals and lubes from the original.

Bigragu, not trying to one up you but muy 1st RX2 20cal was stolen by my old lady's nephew. he had the heroine monkey on his back...I LOVED that rifle so much. Never had a problem with it what so ever. So some years later the old lady buys me one from a fella in the coal region of PA. had some issues like a bent barrel, lock up issues and stuff. Finally got it to where I wanted it to be. Heck, i even found some old Beeman FTS that shot insanely accurate.

Well another one of her family come stay the week with us, he was on the "recovery" wagon as well. Came home from being gone for 4 days of work in Arlington VA and my man cave tv, my laptop, some jewlery and my rx2...GONE. My old lady didn't even know we was robbed til I said something. I guess i can't trust family nor am i allowed to have a rx2

Great story about the RX ! I to bought the same gun and caliber when it first came out. I live about 35 minutes from the Santa Rosa location. Beeman would buy or trade used airguns so I used my .177cal R1 as collateral towards the RX. I had the RX for about a month when it started to have a hang-fire problem. Pulled the trigger and nothing ! I pointed the barrel downward and a second or two later the gun would go off. Scary !! At that time it was shooting the apx 11 gr Silver Jet @ 880 fps. I took it back to them and about 10 days later they told me it was ready to be picked up. It now had a "1" stamped next to the RX. No more hang-fire and Siver Jets were now up to 900 fps. This gun shot those pointed pellets very accurately. Exploding aspirin tablets at 10 M was quite easy. That with a fixed 2.5X Beeman Blue Ribbon scope. I sold it for my greed for more power ( Had to have a Crow Magnum III ) and I wish I'd kept that rifle. What year did you get yours ? I think it was 1990 for me ???

That sucks ! What kind of power were you getting with the RX2 ?

Looks a lot like a Weihrauch? I have a RWS 300M .177M that's the only copy out there of the HW80. Traced it back to 2002 so far with what little info is left out there? Still shoots hard and is fairly easy to cock.
