SOLVED! Thanks for the feedback

This turned out to be a pretty informative thread. Then I ran into this

MG your not a chocker setter. You know why!

That's a very random statement that I'm sure makes a whole lot of sense to you. Let me know when you find that football bat bufdy.

🤣🤣🤣 Man did I get a good laugh here. I have got to use that line.

AoA gave me one for free when my first LC110's pump unit died. It didn't last long at all. Determined to get some industrial hoses with stronger ferrules and fittings at some point soon.

One thing I never do with my HP lines is coil them up in a small coil. That puts stress on the line right at the end of the crimp.

We crimp hydraulic hoses everyday at work and I can assure you it is not smart to try and repair a leaking HP hose.

Often times guys will bring back corded electric drills and saws with the power cord neatly coiled around the tool body. I tell them that’s how girls coil up hair driers and curling irons. Leave the cord alone and same goes with hoses, they’ll last longer.

This is a pic of the microbore hose supplied with a 5000 psi hand pump I purchased. This us the 1st attempt. 3 more hoses under warranty and finally have a good one. Being a retired hydraulic engr I can tell you whomever prepared the hose and clamped the ferrule did so improperly. At this point it's junk. You can buy the fittings, but, the dies and crimp machine would be cost prohibitive. These gage hoses are toss away and never fixed. Stauff corp. sold assemblies you may want to contact them to discuss your options.

Yeah, I'm absolutely sick of these run of the mill D2/D4 "PCP" / "paintball" hoses. Did a deep dive the other night and found a solid list of manufacturers and suppliers of hoses / parts / couplings / fittings and complete hose assemblies. There are much better options out there for industrial-grade hoses with endless connector / ferrule options that will mate up with Foster QD.

I'll buy 50pcs of complete assemblies if I had to fulfill a min order to get 4-5 hoses for myself. They're not all that expensive, and I'm sure the remainder would sell themselves.

If you find something of that quality that you are looking for in a micro bore and have to buy in bulk and re-sale them, I will buy a couple of them from you.

Get the best, and get the hoses from airtanksplus.com. Comes in different lengths to suit your needs.

there’s a reason that the maker of the Thomas target Rifles prefers the tethering reg and hoses from ATP, which he used when he won that 50 yard event just recently.

It’s more than likely the quality of the hoses and how they’re put together

They're all the same D2 hoses and crimp ferrules and have the same problems.

Rather than buy 50, to get ;5 why not buy 5 for about the same cost?
Buying from the best

Just my 2 cents plain

There are quality hoses in today's,AGN classifieds
I have bought from Jerry and consider him a very reliable seller

Hope this helps

I have a vendor that can supply me with some very heavy duty hose and fitting assemblies, but there's (1) minimum purchase order requirement of 100pcs and at the time there were (2) serious supply chain related issues (and ever-changing costs).

I have a local progressive hydraulics store that I do business with regularly. I’ll try and check with them tomorrow but from my searching their online store I don’t see a realistic option.

Yes they do make high pressure air hoses that will easily handle pressures we need. Problem I see is the volume of air that will be wasted inside the hose. Smallest on their website is 1/4” (6mm) inside diameter. Thats a far cry from the standard microbore hose which is 2mm. Doesn’t seem like a lot but that larger hose will consume and waste a huge volume of air.

Not too worried about waste. I was already planning to run check + bleed valve on the fill side. I'm all set though, I have a bunch of SKUs already and could shop around if I had to, but it's not really a priority and this thread somehow went off the rails and resurrected itself lol
