Tuxing and Xin Yong Shi filters only include cotton fiber filter material. I designed my own repackable, rechargeable filter which protects the walls of the filter housing and uses 13X desiccant and blue silica indicator beads to allow the owner to know when it's time to dry the desiccant in an oven for multiple uses. Depending on the type of compressor the cartridge will last at least 10 hours of runtime between recharging or replacing the desiccant. There is a second filtration segment packed with activated carbon to remove any oil smell or odors from your tank or rifle. The plastic cartridge will last for the life of your gold filter. After building my own and using it successfully for a year I only have enough extra desiccant to build a very limited number of cartridges for gold filter owners wishing to have a quality reuseable filter cartridge to protect their filter.
