So you sold your Aztec, now what?

Mine will be replaced with the next generation which is coming out later this year. When you ask??, who knows??, but it's coming in 2021 sometime. PLEASE don't go calling AOA and bother them about it because they don't know arrival dates either and besides that I'll get in trouble for giving this info, resist man resist!!!!!!!!!!!!! But you now stand duly informed about the future Aztec line.

If you need a scope ASAP then my suggestion would be any of the Athlon scopes that appeals to you because they are known to track well. 

Best all around for hunting and plinking I elect the new Helos G2 2-12x42, an amazing full featured scope with thicker reticle.

Target use, or hunting, with more magnification on the cheap, I would say the Argos G2 BTR's.

Next up is the new Helos G2's in higher magnification which aren't quite out yet, probably in April. Too awesome to even consider anything else in that price range. These will be my replacement scopes for my old tried and true 1st Gen Argos BTR's that has allowed me to win Freestyle division the last 5 years in FT as well as one of them being a state win. Man I'm so excited!

I like the Alpha6 4.5-27x50 glass better than my $699 Japan SWFA 3-15x42 SS and ($1400+ retail / $ 699 clearance) Japan Bushnell TAC 4.5-30x50 and glass is nicer much higher dollar scope glass like 4x - 5x the price.

Buy from Extreemtactical or BudK or EBay read the optics section follow instructions for best deals possible.

If the Alpha6 is simply too cheap to be proud about owning and absolutely insist on blowing a huge wad then THIS 25 yard 34mm Athlon Ares ETR UHD from a very trusted seller matter of fact I even spoke with him over the phone yesterday and he stated HIS is MADE IN JAPAN (HE WAS PRETTY DANG SURE ABOUT IT OVER THE PHONE) and stated it was hands down the CLEAREST scope he had ever owned. The one I had ARES ETR UHD 34mm $1199 MAP Pricing and returned was made in CHINA so maybe they just recently changed to a Japan manufacturer without my knowing so BUY IT BUY IT BUY IT based on his being Japan made.

Alternative MUCH cheaper 30mm China Brother of the Athlon hurry rebate ends tomorrow-! Athlon and Bushnell made in the sale factory in China and Bushnell versions are cheaper.

Just got my Alpha6 they sent me the wrong scope in an opened box and damaged as well. Thanks eBay. So I have to return it now. Still I had the chance to make a comparison of the Alpha6 2.5x15x50 vs the Aztec 5.5x25x50.

The Alpha scope is defiantly heavier and has a finer lined reticle than the Aztec. I prefer the reticle and turrets of the Aztec. The two scopes seem quite comparable in glass brightness, clarity and most other ways that I can discern. 

I will take Odoyle's word for it that there is no color aberration on the Alpha6 as it is only under very specific lighting conditions it is ever seen and they were not there during my short testing today.

EBay should have a free shipping label return especially since you fit the wrong one-! The 4.5-27x50 is nicer. Here's just one example there's maybe 3 or 4 more referenced if you do a search others who compared side by side as well. In this one the Alpha6 is nicer than the Vortex Diamondback Tactical and Aztec Emerald from 2 different people.

I called Kevin yesterday to ask if the ETR was Jap made, or had Jap components, NOPE, but I already knew that.

I can't believe a Athlon ETR and a A6 is in the same sentence. The ETR is far above the A6 and at least even in glass but I suspect better. Hech the ETR is 95% a Athlon Cronus G2 which is the best scope money can buy in the sub $2000 range = bar none.

WELL someone recently asked what's the best scope money can buy right now 4 around $1000 I told him buy the $1200 Japan Cronus Gen1 on the AGW classifieds and offer $900 and go from there since they were $1000 new least I seen.

Dang can't beat those Cronus with a stick-!

Very close to my Nightforce NX8. Maybe even tied. Maybe even tied to the Tract Toric it's so damn close plus CLEAR is CLEAR eh-?
