So when you sit down to shoot EBR Lockdown 9.5...

Hey Mike some of this might be a little repetitive...Look at AoA instagram post from yesterday. It shows all of the stuff they’re putting together in the kit and says they’re getting the kits ready to go out asap. It didn’t sound like any had gone out yet but maybe some. It also said registration is still open and well over 200 had already registered world wide. In any case, some of the stuff they’re sending out looks really cool and it’ll definitely be a lot of fun! I tried to copy the Instagram picture and show it here for you but I can’t copy any Instagram photos.

We did post our scores on the EBR Lockdown thread. We were hoping to have more people join us in our 100yd shoot in Flagstaff. I have a feeling people either did know far enough in advance or were afraid to shoot in the erratic wind conditions. We sucked it up and shot anyway. It was an experience. Despite having all the time in the world on Sunday to do this we stuck to the time frame. I was quite disappointed in my score shooting a 196 @100. Better with. 233 @ 75. It’s kinda funny, not haha funny, I was pretty peeved after the fact that I didn’t use my normal set up, Bobby shot first so I used his bags. I was so concentrated on reading wind flags which was so important and very difficult I was pressuring my rifle all over the place. Which is the very thing that I had been practicing at for so long. Anyway...we had fun as it is every year I’m glad the pressure to do it is gone and score posted. I would love to go back and do it again only differently this time. I have a lot of respect for those that can read the wind so well. I was chasing my pellet the whole time. Which Mike N says to not do. I should have followed his advice. Good luck to you all. Would love to hear your stories after you shoot.

Adding to Bluebaby's story... if you look closely at the flags in our pics, you'll see them pointed in different directions in one pic and ribbons hanging down and standing straight out at the same time in the other. Not clear pictures but anyway , that was the story of our attempt. Only RARELY did the flags go the same direction as the mirage and with a 30 minute time limit... best guess and pull the trigger. ...

We had plenty of time but somehow didn't even shoot at 100 before putting the official card up.

Ok... so maybe we had an occasional bad pellet and the bench moved, sun was at a bad angle.... humidity too low..... lol.... we had a great time, regardless.

Looking forward to hearing someone else' stories.
