Got myself an Air Force Texan LSS .457 for Christmas also but haven't got a chance to try it out yet. We gor 12" of snow Christmas Eve here in Cleveland so I'm not sure when I'll get a chance. Really looking forward to trying her out.

My .308 LSS clipped the baffles when I first got it. In my case the shroud was about 1/16" long. Tightening the air-stripper till it seated into the receiver was causing a bind. I ended up cutting the shroud down and putting screws into the shroud/air-stripper to solve the problem. Not a good design if you ask me.

I run my Condor .25 at 3,400 if that tells you anything.
Yes the Texans can exceed recommended and survive just fine.
Going against the flow here but cast ammo runs so much better in my Airforce rifles.
The NSA stuff is just to smooth and doesnt get the traction of cast ammo.
That is a battle
that will rage on forever
.I plink with NSA and hunt with casted ammo when I need it to count the most.
