It all sounds good but I've never heard of them. I'm thinking of the new Akela and something with FFP on it. Budget is a big concern here. I don't have the money to put much into the glass. I have a couple of Nikon 3x9x40 Prostaffs around here. Was wanting something with a little more power. Eyes are getting old on me. lol

I have one...(The one you mentioned)....I just posted a picture in the "Welcome AEA airguns" thread.....My AEA Varmint is wearing one..

They are "OK" scopes... solid build (it seems), appears to track well...the glass is just OK not muddy, just OK...I wasn't floored by it... the TAC Vector Taurus floored me...

What's your max budget? Can pick up a MUCH better scope an Athlon Argos BTR 6-24x50 from Blueline optics for around $325 using there 12% off code for first time buyers. And have a lifetime warranty.

Never seen this brand before.

But it has an interesting reticle.



Two thoughts — and these might be non-issues for your type of shooting:

(1) FoV is only 16ft @ 100y. That's rather narrow for close range quick target aquisition on a stalk.



(2) The reticle is in MIL. ≠

The turrets are in MOA.

A communication disconnect — they don't speak the same language. 

This is an FFP scope, so the following should work — but it doesn't: If I see my shot being 0.8MIL high in the reticle, I should be able to dial 0.8MIL down on the turret. But that's not going to happen, because the turret doesn't understand MIL. He speaks MOA. Happy converting and calculating....



AND: If you like to change your point of aim using EITHER the reticle OR the turrets, an FFP scope offers you the luxury to only needing ONE DOPE CHART.

But this scope requires one dope chart for the MIL reticle, and one for the MOA turrets....

How will you get warranty if you buy that one if someday it fails?

I would suggest reading the threads in the optics section on AGN and doing your due dilligence especially since you state you can't afford a high dollar scope.

Sure wouldn't wanna be burnt spending that kind of money on a scope nobody knows about and doesn't even show up when doing a search. Especially the warranty.

I bought this $270 Aliexpress FFP 6-24x50 that LOOKED NICE and it sure sucks! Would have been better off buying a Discovery HD from EBAY $279 even with only a 3 year warranty vs NO WARRANTY for the Marcool I bought. In fact I bought a FFP Discovery HD 5-25x50 and it absolutely blows the Marcool away. I am not liking FFP scopes since its very hard to see the reticle at low magnification and become too thick and fat at maximum power. Decided to stick with SFP from now on.
