I have both, have only shot JSB and H&N. My samples didn’t like the H&N. I think that the smooth twist and twistx were designed and tested with JSB, depending on caliber they were likely designed for a specific weight as well.
In .177 apparently it is the 8 grain but I have the 10 grain shooting well out to 100 yards at 900 FPS
In .22 the 18 grain is a winner at around 880.
In .25 the 25 grain likes about 900.
I only use the JSB, they just work, clean up is manageable, consistency is acceptable and straight from the tin performance is also decent, one caveat, I suffer from mild OCD so I only buy thick skirted JSB, otherwise I turn into a pumpkin !
