Smooth x liner alternative?

Came across these and wondered whether they might be easy made to work in the .22 smooth x barrels. Available in 1:20 and 1:16 twist rates.

Only 2 items of interest are the chamber which is cut for a .22LR shell and the land / groove dimensions of the barrel. If the chamber is not an issue or can be machined in some fashion to work and the land / groove meet the specification of your intended projectile then yes it could be made to work. The question is would you really want to since the liner might not be as good a quality as the ST or ST-X liners. Might be a great experiment though if fully documented.

Lothar walther also supplies 10mm OD blanks, they might fit as well. 
I am currently without stx barrels, so unfortunately I can't take measurements.
