Is there a difference between the stx superior heavy liner and the stx slug A liner? I ordered the superior heavy liner online and they sent an stx slug A so not sure if theyre the same thing or if i need to inform them of their mistake?
They have different twist rate. Both are made to shoot slug. So if that is your goal, either one is fine. If you are shooting pellet, then that is the wrong liner. They shoot pellets ok. But the normal superior shoot pellet more accurately.
Do you happen to know the different twist rates? The tube that the liker came in is labelled slug A but the barrel itself is marked stx superior slug 1:18 twist rate
My slug A liner will shoot slugs and a couple of pellets really well.
The Superior Heavy will shoot a wider variety of slugs and pellets well.
My .25 700mm slug A liner shot the NSA 3.5, 34,36, 36.2 and VK 34 at less than MOA at 100 yards.
It did a few less than MOA groups with the JSB 33.95 at the same range.
Ted tested several barrels with several pellets and slugs, in the .25, near a year and half years back. It is a fairly good representation of how they shoot.
