I believe I can get them apart, but I have a question, which way do I push the shaft out? I have 3 of them. I have seen JG airguns on Ebay offer a rebuild kit with the plunger, but it is shorter, and appears to have a nylon head. They also had the "exchange" program on their site.

tools needed
vise or arbor press
block of wood with a hole to push the shaft into
a punch to tap out what cannot be pressed out

there cost to do the service is not cheap and if i had to guess they are using heat and have taken no time to clean the valve stem, quick and dirty as they say
the valve
the stem is push out toward the seal side and in the crude drawing i have made you will see why
there a barb on the stem shaft and the barb holds the seal in place
long ago i bought urethane sheet goods and leather punches to make the seal and the reason was just because
i can make the seals and or rebuild them i live in Washington state

Jg airguns, They are the place. You will get the part u need. I've sent many exchanges with Heather at Jg airgun you will get your part, I understand why they have the exchange policy. They need your I part to pass on to someone else. Good luck.

the stems for the S&W 78-79g are a three piece deal
you have the stem, a cup that is brass and the seal
the Crossman are all the same part 1322-a011 and that is a cast seal of unknown material on the steel stem
so, no i cannot make them

the S&W stems need to be taken apart cleaned and reassembled with a new urethane flat seal

So I push the stem towards the seal, it will come out and than I can put a new flat seal into the cup side. So the stem pinches the seal and some what holds the seal in place.
I am going to take them apart, and see what happens. I would gladly pay you for the new seals, if you can make them for me. I now have 4 guns to re-seal. I pick up a very beat up one at a yard sale this morning. It’s rough to say the least.
