I mainly hunt rabbit with my .22 rifle. I don't really like squirrel, though I have taken more than a few for those who do. I also have a .22 pistol which I mostly plink cans with, but the occasional rat has been in my sights. I do plan on hunting iguana with my .22 rifle, but haven't yet had the opportunity.

I like hunting starlings and sparrows with a 30 fpe 22. Such a lovely pop when you blast them with a polymag or slug!

Anything up to the size of a raccoon or groundhog.

Before I retired last year, some of my co-workers would take any rabbit or squirrel I could get. So on my home treks that was my mission. Since my Son married & moved away , I've not taken any small game for home meals. Just recently my brother took an interest in air gunning w/me & after selling my Benj. Gunnar to him , we took a few gray squirrels for some friends of his. I have accounted for well over 140 woodchucks (groundhogs) in the last few years w/ .22 PCP guns at my dairy permission & IIRC at least two w/ a nitro springer. Several crows , countless pigeons ,starlings , sparrows & since June of 2022 till the end of Dec., 208 barn rats .I've thought of picking up a .25 but so far my .22's have answered my call .

My wife grew up in Chicago and tree rats are just that ,rats . She almost regurgitated when she tried a bite . now i just protect the bird feeders and feed the Fox's . 12 FPE .177

Really enjoy rabbit hunting with airguns, but collared doves are my favorite. Want to try squirrel hunting, but doing that in IL with an airgun is a royal PITA

58 yard brain shot (yes, I was trying to do that).
My rats don't hold still long enough for brain shots, but a 20 foot-pound pellet through the chest seems to slow them down pretty well.
