About wind and slugs/ pellets this what i found out from the first shooting.
Perfect (most accurate) pellets makes group at 150m(165y) same as bad( not accurate) slugs. Slugs has much biger wind resistance. Not to mention comparing ideal pellets with ideal slugs at 150m in windy(everyday weather) then you stop using pellets
You people know that I'm all in favor of slugs — otherwise I wouldn't spend time on making a Slug Specs Table.
However, the same ballistics that I like so much in slugs (amazingly improved wind resistance, higher impact velocity/energy) can be become a liablity I must reckon with:
For example, most .22cal pellets when shot at an angle of 12° or steeper will return to Mother Earth with less energy left than needed to poke out her eye.
Slugs, on the other hand, are ballistically so efficient that they will hit Earth (or your neighbor) with a lot more energy than needed to simply increase eye patch sales in your county. No matter what angle....
