Slugs & pellets, hardness compared to Alloy GTO's.

Hello all,

the SS sheets you see below are at my 40 yard range backstop.
Now even at 90.28ft/lbs, a .25 Sumatra sending 46 grain RBT slugs at 940fps, there is NO pass through with pure lead Griffin slugs.

There's some deep dents. I have those sheets doubled up. They're not thick but they're tough. A little 6ft/lb .177 will dent it. Gives me a great small target.

So now that we know what we're up against. If these sheets were on a wall. I may have seen some pass throughs; but I doubt it. Just look below.

Edit: 18.13-33.95 JSB's are as flat as those slugs also. At any speed over 750fps. 3 CPHP's @ 40 from R1. Those Alloys are crazy hard.

The flattened 28-32 grain .22 slugs leaving muzzle at 1040-1070fps.
The .25 GTO's from Sumatra going anywhere from 900-1200fps at muzzle The GTO's crack like crazy on anything above low power.

Most look as if they weren't even shot.
Granted they're only 16.54 grains compared to 28-32 grain much higher BC.
