Slugs out of pellet rifle, general starting point ??'s

My Maverick VP in 25 cal shoots great with my 34 grain JSB's at 895 fps using the stock Superior liner.
I have absolutely no need to shoot slugs. But I want to try some just for fun without changing my tune. If they don't shoot accurately so be it.
That being said, with this barrel, would you slug guys suggest starting with lighter slugs, say 27 or 29 grain, or go heavier than my 34 grain pellets?
I'm not looking to become a slug shooter but just want to try for no other reason than that I can. lol

I do not have many kind of slugs to choose from.

My Vulcan 2. 25 Cal shoot like a champ JSB pellets and H&N 31 grain Grizzlies and NSA 29 grain slugs.

My rifles that do not seem to like slugs just do not make to shoot them.

30-32gr. Hybrids will also work but you’ll have to slow the gun down. They also will be inferior to the 33.95gr pellet you are using.

If you aren’t willing to change your tune I would not bother to try slugs. your results will most likely be compromised.

But if you did shoot them without changing your tune you could say you tried them and declare slugs to be a waste of time.
