What would you have to do to shoot slugs in a regulated .22 Marauder, or is it impossible? I was thinking 35-40 grain jacketed .224 or even casting some. My pellet accuracy drops off after 50 yards, thought a heavier bullet might help.

You need ALOT of power to shoot anything with a jacket. Powder burner power. The jacket causes way too much friction and won't make it out the barrel most likely.
As for slugs out of the stock barrel, not sure. Theyre choked which isn't the best for slugs. Try some .217 or .218 sized slugs. NSA has a bunch of different options for 22. Slugs are touchy, a .217 might spiral and shoot like crap out of your gun, but a .2175 will stack in a dime at 75. The best option is to slug the barrel to see what size you need vs spending a bunch of money on what ifs.

I would think using slugs in a marauder wouldn’t be worth the investment. Just not enough power to see any big benefit in my opinion.

put them in and shoot it lol ... what id do is slug the barrel and try to size them appropriately, id probably polish the barrel and maybe the throat to, to work the best with them ... but the reality is 'for me' if it shoots pellets accurately i wouldnt mess with it to 'try' to make slugs shoot good ..

Also wanted to add, a stock Mrod 22 will need a bit more power to keep accuracy up past 50 yards. Also, try better and heavier pellets.

You might be able to shoot NSA’s 17 grain .22 slug. Don’t worry about shooting them slow like in the 700 or 800 fps as long as they are accurate. Might have to try different sizes but they sell sample size. Try to crank the reg up and with MRod’s long barrel you should be able to shoot the lighter slugs.
