Actually it’s something I wanted to try since at longer ranges in higher powered guns slugs are so much better than pellets. I only shot slugs at one event, the AZ States this year in Hunter Class.. But, in my Daystate Pulsar the JSB KO 13.4 grain slugs are very close in accuracy to the 13.4 RD Monsters and are significantly less affected by wind. When I shot them in windy conditions next to my .25 Delta Wolf shooting .25 JSB Heavy pellets the drifts were just about the same at 50 yards. It was apparently an exercise in futility as I’ll be going back to the RD Monsters for 2022. It’s kinda sad that the Old Timers felt threatened by the slug shaped pellets. Oh well, que sera…To be completely honest, the decision of the BOD seems arbitrary and capricious to me, but that’s my opinion. I didn’t shoot FT when they decided guys were winning too much shooting prone but I’ll bet they felt a lot worse than me, since I’ve only been shooting FT for a year…
