What causes slugs to spiral? I suspect too low fps. Shoot 34g NSA 956 fps impact 700, no spiral. Shoot same slug @ 880 fps 380 barrel Maverick, frequent spiral.. 26 grain seem better, of course, they shoot 926.
To much speed, to little speed, leading in the barrel damage to the barrel or damage to the pellets caused by the barrel or just damaged pellets period. Plenty to think about there I am werqing on the same problem myself at the moment.
So are you getting 3 shots at 1/2 at hundred yards and then the next 2 shots are 1" off from the 3 shot cluster. That's what I'm getting consistently with 5 shot groups
Play with the harmonic tuning and make very small adjustments . 935 seems like a sweet spot. When you adjust that valve and notice a change in the sound of the gun you might be there. Slugs seem to like fast over slow or that’s been my experience
I just asked a similar question on another board, I was told its mainly due to slug dynamic instability, which increases as the slug travels downrange, because the forward velocity slows faster than the RPM...using a slower twist rate can usually reduce this.
Like I said I'm shooting 380 Barrel my impact has a 700 Barrel doesn't have that problem accurate as the night-light great on it a hundred I'm trying to keep one weight of slug just bought 10 boxes of them at 34 for NSA and I don't want to really keep three and four weights of slugs. 26 will be my nest test in the maverick. 34g mark II are lazer on to 75.
