SLUG ONLY TOPIC SECTION?

First off, not really sure if this is the appropriate section for bringing this up? (Michael put where you see fit) I would like to see a slug only section or topic headline? Wondering if anyone else feels this way also? with the growing popularity of slugs being shot for multiple disciplines “and in general” also with more manufacturers catering to slug shooting with specific guns/barrels etc. and now more events that are having slug only short and long range competitions, maybe it’s time? (I know the hunting and projectile sections include some slug related activity!) I think maybe we can combine all this under one heading? making it quick and dirty to see anything related to shooting slugs in general?

I write my slug experiences under ammo or hunting , I have been shooting slugs since 2008 when I made my first one . but I noticed alot of changes in the pcp gun world like went from .22 then .25 took the lead then the .30 caliber , then the .22 came back as being popular and slugs now are popular with small bores , the big bores used slugs for decades I happened to build quite a collection of pcp guns over last 10 years , but to be honest here only .22 caliber is leagle to hunt so I have many 22 calibers and only 1 30 cal and a few 25 cals .

As a rookie air gunner and someone who is really trying to figure out this end of PCP's, I think for me it would make it so much easier to get the info I'm pursuing. I usually wade through many threads this way.

I very much enjoy AGN and reading all sorts of new and exciting variations of the hobby-sport. However, I think it would help me out big time to have a "go-to" section. 

From what I gathered, it seems that shooting slugs has come of age.

I don't think a topic section is needed so much as a list of guns and what slugs they shoot. All slug subjects/inquiries start with, "What slugs shoot the best out of__________.

I vote for one also. There's more to slugs than just this one shoots well out of this gun. I think it will be valuable

I think that a slug only section might be good, because I don't shoot pellets anymore. 

Pellet guns and slug guns are not the same. You need power to excel with slugs. That's why everyone cranks their pellet gun to the max. in an effort to shoot slugs. 

So it is different in my opinion......

Well, I think it would be advantageous to the members for the simplicity of having all related experiences with different guns/barrels /slugs etc. under one topic heading,It would definitely speed up the learning curve for people just jumping into this next chapter in air gunning!, especially now that I believe we will see more shooting competitions centered around slugs? Time will tell I guess... (believe me I resisted the idea of shooting slugs in a airgun!, but I’m starting to come around to it!)

Slugs are kind of the norm. for reliable long range shooting. Combined makes sense.

I wouldn’t mind seeing stickies for slugs/rifles, tuning, velocities vs accuracy etc. but then that might take all the fun out of experimentation.

I don't really see the need. The pellets/projectiles section isn't exactly overflowing with contibutions. I find getting info about projectiles including slugs pretty straightforward the way it is set up now. Too many subforums make the site harder to navigate and find information IMO.

Yep. This. People regularly post threads in sections other than the ones set aside for the topic, and all ya gotta do is look at the first page or two of this particular section to see that! Naw, there's a projectile section already, that's where the slug threads belong.
