Slingstuds for Wildcat synthetic stock

I put sling studs in my synthetic Wildcat. It was very easy and straight forward. I installed as if wood. Removed the barrel and air tube.

If I were doing it again though, I'd probably put the air tube clamp on the tube. I did this on my Steyr to keep the rifle better balanced.

"sonny"if you can through bolt those studs your better off as those syn stocks don't hold screws as well as wood. I used helicoils on my bobcat to mount a picitiny for a atlas bi-pod and it took about 2yrs but finally they pulled through the stock material.
I'm wondering if using epoxy on the stud threads would work.

hawkeye69 I wonder if a gun smith or stock builder would have the right idea. Myself I would like to see a small padded ban that wrapped around the stock part way, then pinned thru the side. That would ease my mind of being pulled out, similar to the one bowwild showed ( barrel ban ). But you might be going the right direction with the epoxy. Best of luck ! Darell
