I finnaly got the nerves to drill two holes into the stock of my new FX Independence today and attached a bipod and sling so happy i did it will make hunting with it so much more enjoyably ..pictures to follow soon!

haha your welcome brother lol....I would say a good inch at the front and back is full with of the stock as its solid drilled a smaller hole and worked slow with the uncle mikes screw stud (1461-2) had a smaller front screw and longer back so this worked out well for me

Jonathan I guess the FX has some sort of composite stock. How dense is that material and does it grab the sling swivel studs well. I have a FX Verminator coming sometime soon I hope and decided to let AOA install sling studs. This not knowing the stock material or its construction. Bill

it is like rionite (sp) the stuff seams very strong as strong as the stock of any Mc Millian tactical I have ever worked on!
I was very hesitant to do it but now that I have I would not think twice about doing it again if I had to.

I'm sending my brand new fx Independence .25cal back today for repairs . Pump it up to 220 Shot it one time and pumped it 65 times and it still wasn't full On the gauge dam it hunting seasons almost over here hope they get this thing fixed fast .I'm sending it back I'm going to have them add the sling studs they said they weren't sure if it would work but i'm definitely going to have them add it now .kinda sucks on long hunts for squirrel or rabbit and not have a sling

its about 5 inches back and there is a ton of meat there to hold it, I would do it myself very easy and a lot cheaper ...if you decide to I will walk you through it step by step with pictures

Well my independence is on it way to aoa for repair and some up grades .they said they would jump right on it cool hope to get it back before squirrel and rabbit season are over

Well Air Guns of Arizona won't install the sling studs .they say it well cause the stock to crack over time .how long have you had yours done
